NG joined us about two weeks ago. we really knew nothing of him when he was hired, other than the fact that he was an Aggie and a techie, so we decided to welcome him the only way we knew how:

During our first family dinner with NG (his 2nd day), we asked him what we should know about him.
NG: well...um...ok...I'm the lead guitarist in a rock band.
marni: what?? seriously?
NG: um...yeah.
marni: what do you guys sound like?
NG: we're like a combination of 30 seconds to mars and blink 182
emily: really???
marni: so, do you sing in your band?
NG: yeah, sometimes
marni: ok...go ahead...give us a sample...
NG: {nervous laughter}
marni: do you wear rocker-y glasses when you play?
NG: um, no.
marni: do you paint your nails black?
NG: {laughs} No.
emily: what kind of clothes do you wear at your concerts?
NG: uhh....jeans and a t-shirt
emily: hm..
later we googled NG's band.
